2nd 2012 news.....At last night's
meeting our membership approved a new memorial award trophy to
honor and remember our great friend Al Pellini.The tournament
winner will be awarded to the angler with the heaviest aggregate
weight of shore caught striped bass throughout the year. One entry
per month per angler for May, June, July, August, September,
October, November and December. Tournament starts now! This is
just a quick summary and complete details will be posted soon.

The
Narragansett Pier Sport fishing Association
is one of Rhode Island's oldest and premier sport
fishing clubs founded in 1968. Members and perspective members meet on
the first Wednesday of every month at the Narragansett Pier public
Library 35 Kingston Road
(between Caswell street
and Boon Street)
at 7:00 PM. We are all about about fishing and sharing information
among members who focus on both surf and boat fishing. Monthly seminars
are featured to assist members sharpen their skills and to become more
proficient anglers and develop a strong sense of camaraderie. The
membership
includes a diverse group of dedicated anglers who are among the elite of
striped bass surfcasters, serious offshore tuna and shark hunters, boat
fishing striped bass enthusiasts and the "best of the best" blackfish
and fluke anglers. Several fishing tournaments and various special
events bring out the best of the members. Many fishing and marine
related resources are contained in this website for everyone's
enjoyment, and of course new, perspective members are encouraged to
contact the membership, and attend a meeting to learn more of what the
association is all about.
